Hyperhidrosis

hyperhidrosis

ScrubsUK offers a range of remedies against excessive sweating. Our AHC range against excessive sweating is gentle to the skin and will stop excessive sweating from between 80 to 100%. Lavilin also introduces a range of antiperspirants to combat excessive sweating and odors associated with sweating. Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating doesn’t follow seasons. Hyperhidrosis is said to affect in excess of 1.53 million of us in the UK, and suffice to say that it can actually be a common complaint. Those suffering from excessive sweating will know that too often they are so self-conscious and nervous about sweating that, they then sweat even more as a result. You may try and tell yourself ‘don’t think about it’, but that’s when your mind will probably harness the thought and not let go of it! It can be embarrassing, even distressing to many, and this in turn can have a negative impact on someone’s quality of life.

We have tried hard to include as much information on our antiperspirant range, how the work and what the key ingredients are. However should you require additional details, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0870 0802 2332. We are always happy to help. We have additional information on hyperhidrosis on our blog.

THE PURPOSE OF SWEATING (WHY DO I SWEAT?)
Primarily, sweating helps to regulate body heat. On average, humans have a body temperature of 37° C. Various influences on body temperature, such as the outside temperature and the strains and stresses on the body mean that the regulator mechanism controlling the body’s temperature has to be precise.
Sweating is a watery secretion of the skin. The composition of sweat changes according to the body’s mineral content; when the body releases liquid (sweat) onto the body’s surface, this cools the skin. Without us doing anything, the nervous system controls how much sweat is released anywhere on the skin.
If the nervous system malfunctions this could lead to excessive sweating. This condition is also known as Hyperhidrosis.
The areas below are prone to sweating: - Armpits - Hands - Feet - Forehead and neck - Chest - Back - Stomach - Bottom - Underarms - Folds of skin

TREATMENT METHOD
JV Cosmetics' products naturally close up the pores in the middle and upper skin layers. It works after the first application and reduces excess sweating by between 80% and 100%. The body still has enough other evaporation areas, so your well-being will not be affected. The product is only used externally and, in most cases, using it once a week is enough to ensure that the products are optimally effective.
New! The additional plant extracts mean that the products are very gentle to the skin. The result: “simply dry” – despite the demands of everyday life.

Dermatest results: Test on primary skin irritation and allergic hypersensitivity on human subjects Responsible for the study: Dr. med. Werner Voss - Specialist for dermatology and allergology

PRODUCTS AHC20 classic, AHC20 sensitive, AHC30 forte
Results: "very good" (AHC20 classic, AHC20 sensitive, AHC30 forte) Test Panel: Thirty volunteers of either sex, without visible skin diseases or known allergic hypersensitivities Concentration of the product: undiluted OBJECTIVE The objective of the study was to detect a primary skin irritation potency and/or an allergic hypersensitivity to the tested product. Patch testing represents a sound, relatively safe and reasonable reliable method for identifying allergens.
METHODOLOGY The product to be tested is undiluted. The test patch is left in place for 24 hours then removed. The examination by the dermatologist followes. A second and third examination are performed after 48 and 72 hours by the dermatologist.
CONCLUSIONS Under the conditions of this test we found no evidence of primary irritation or allergic hypersensitivity. None of the 30 patch-tests resulted in positive reactions after 24, 48 and after 72 hours. The investigating specialist for dermatology and allergology considers this test-product safe for use.
